Dengii / Quick Input

Two seconds
from phrase to entry.

Version 1.1.0 adds three new ways to open expense recording without digging through your folders: a home screen widget, a double-tap on the back of your iPhone, and a Siri command. Set it up once — it's two seconds from now on.

iOS: 16+ for Siri, 17+ for widget button Version: 1.1.0 Setup: one-time
📱 01 · widget

Home screen widget

The widget shows how much you've spent today and what's left for the period. The small widget has an orange microphone button — tap it to jump straight into voice recording.

  1. On your home screen, long-press an empty spot until the icons start jiggling.
  2. Tap the «+» button in the top left corner.
  3. Search for Dengii and select the widget.
  4. Choose a size: small, medium, or large. The mic button lives on the small one.
  5. Tap «Add Widget», drag it where you want. Done.
Tip: tapping the widget body opens the app normally; tapping the orange button goes straight to the recording screen.
👆 02 · back tap

Double-tap on the back of iPhone

Apple's Back Tap accessibility feature lets you bind an action to a double or triple tap on the back of your iPhone. Bind it to recording an expense — double-tap from anywhere, and the app opens with the mic already on.

  1. Open Settings → Accessibility.
  2. Scroll to the Touch section.
  3. At the bottom, choose «Back Tap».
  4. Pick «Double Tap» (or triple — your call).
  5. Scroll to the «Shortcuts» section — you'll see «Record Expense». Tap it.
Works from anywhere: the lock screen, any other app, a chat with a friend. Double-tap and Dengii opens with the microphone already listening.
🎙️ 03 · siri

Siri voice command

Say one of the phrases below to Siri — she'll open Dengii and turn on the mic. Handy when your hands are full or the iPhone is in your pocket.

  • «Hey Siri, record expense in Dengii»
  • «Hey Siri, Dengii record expense»
First time: Siri may ask for permission. Say yes — after that the command works without confirmation. If Siri replies «I don't have a shortcut for that» — open the app at least once after installing so the shortcut gets registered with the system.
🔍 04 · spotlight

Spotlight search

Swipe down in the middle of your home screen to open search. You can launch the shortcut from there without going into the app first.

  1. Swipe down in the middle of the home screen.
  2. Start typing record or dengii.
  3. «Record Expense» appears in the results — tap it.
05 · shortcuts

Shortcuts app

The «Record Expense» shortcut shows up automatically in Apple's built-in Shortcuts app. You can fold it into your own Automations: for example, a morning trigger «arrived at work → record taxi expense».

  1. Open the «Shortcuts» app (pre-installed on iOS).
  2. In «All Shortcuts», find the «Dengii» category.
  3. From there you can: run it manually, pin it as a home screen icon, or use it inside Automations.
